I’m weak; I’m so weak.
Albertson’s had a buy one get one free sale today and I fell for it like a dog who thought you actually threw the ball. I would walk buy things and think, “Hmm… not on my list, but its buy one get one free!” Grab.
I ended up spending this weeks grocery budget, next week’s grocery budget, plus $25. Ouch. Guess we’ll be eating out of what we have next week. Maybe the week after that!
I’ve been trying to figure out CVS. It appears to be only a good deal if you continue to go week after week. You buy something, a coupon for so many dollars prints out at the bottom of your receipt, and you use those next time. My problem is they expire one or two weeks later, and I hardly ever go to CVS. So I think I’ve got it figured out. Today my receipt gave me $4 back for next time. So I will go next week and buy something I want, but don’t need, that is $4 or less and that will give me $$ on the receipt.
I bought Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste, originally $3.89, on sale for $2.99. I used a .75 off coupon, paying 2.24.
I bought Aquafresh Iso-Action Toothpaste, originally $4.99, on sale for $3.99. I used a $1 off coupon, paying $2.99.
I bought Clean and Clear Advanced Spot Pimple treatment for $6.99.
Here’s where it gets good: I used the $6.99 ExtraBucks from the end of my receipt last time to get the Pimple stuff for FREE! I used the $1 ExtraBucks from the end of my receipt last time to get the Aquafresh for $1.99. For buying those two toothpastes, at the end of my receipt this time, it printed out 2 $2 ECBs. So next week I’ll buy something for $4 and get it free!
