Whew! Big week!

Since my last post, we have moved apartments so I have been a bit behind.

Thursday, June 17, I had a house party from houseparty.com. If you are not familiar, GET FAMILIAR! You sign up for free on http://www.houseparty.com and select “parties” that you wish to host and apply for them. These parties are usually release parties of a new product. For example, my party was a Hasbro game party in honor of the new Trivial Pursuit game called “Bet You Know It.” Houseparty.com sent me a big box containing the board game, plus the newest edition of Taboo and Catchphrase! Additional sponsors were Nabisco and Hershey’s, and houseparty.com included SIX boxes of Triscuits and Wheat Thins, as well as a bag of Hershey’s Pieces. I got to invite all of my friends, they came over, we played the game, all for FREE! The only catch is that you are selected to host, meaning you have to fill out an online application. If they only have 100 products, then only 100 people across the country will get to host. A couple of parties now accepting applications to host are Boboli, where you get four of their new “made for grilling” pizzas for a cookout, and Playstation, where you get the new Move controller, plus some PS3 games that use the newcontroller! Pretty cool, huh? All for free.

As far as groceries, here’s what I got last Sunday:

I paid $27.96 for 28 items. That is less than $1 for each item, and look at that big bucket of Blue Bell, you KNOW that doesn’t come cheap.
These groceries would have cost $89.09 if I did not use coupons.

Here’s what I got for free by using my coupons:

2 Old Spice Body Washes: On sale for $2.99 at Kroger, Used a buy one get one free coupon from the newspaper, with a $3/1 e-coupon from kroger.com, got both for FREE
